The Orchestra

A young orchestra,
with deep roots.

The Philharmonic Orchestra of Central Argentina is a self-managed, independent ensemble founded in early 2024 by musicians committed to the continuity and strengthening of the regional symphonic scene. Former members of the Villa María Symphony Orchestra brought this project to life to enrich the local cultural fabric, bring symphonic and popular music together and open this art form to an ever-wider audience.

Each programme is built with a specially assembled ensemble, letting us move from the classical symphonic repertoire to Argentine popular song with exactly the right forces for each work.

History

A story that has just begun.

2024
The orchestra is born as the Villa María Philharmonic Orchestra, driven by former members of the Villa María Symphony Orchestra.
2024
Two sold-out performances at Teatro Verdi: a British rock show (Queen and The Beatles) and a performance with Trío Mal de Amores.
2025
It takes part in the Festival Internacional de Peñas, sharing the stage with Destino San Javier.
2025
Melodías eternas with the UNVM Nonino Choir and a new identity: Philharmonic Orchestra of Central Argentina.
